‘Borders’ Class

If you’re coming along to the Borders Class on Thurs 31 Jan I just thought I’d say a word about ‘journals’. Firstly: you don’t have to bring a journal but if you want to: it can be any type of journal, notebook or pre-printed diary. If you don’t have a journal we’ll be putting borders on tiles (which will be awesome!). I’ve added a few photos of my journal which I started in the middle of last year. I use this journal as my daily diary and scheduler. I also like to decorate some of the pages when I get time (these are some of my favourites).

If you want to look up Bullet Journals this is a great system for keeping track of appointments and tasks. I use my own modified version of Bullet Journalling and I love it.

Zentangle Class – Borders

The first class for the year will be on “Borders”. I’ve had several requests for this class and thought that the new year is a great time to explore this theme. Other requests have been for journals, so I’m combining both themes with a very relaxed start to the year. If you have a journal, 2019 diary or notebook and would like to decorate some pages with borders, then bring it along. If you don’t have a journal, come along and decorate some tiles instead. It is up to you!

If you need any encouragement or motivation to start a journal visit UNESCO SIX exhibition at the State Library of New South Wales. This is an amazing collection of First Fleet Journals, WWI Diaries and notebooks. I visited there today. You can read more about this on the State Library website.

A New Year – Make it Happy

Happy New Year! Wow 2019 already. Last year was an amazing year. I gave plenty of Zentangle Classes and met absolutely wonderful people along the way. I am so grateful to Rick and Maria for creating, growing and nurturing the Zentangle community.

I have the schedule for Zentangle Classes on the Workshops page. Have a browse through and book into a class.

If don’t see something to suit, please ask…

Happy Tangling

Count down to Providence, Rhode Is. USA

Many of you already know that I am planning a trip to visit the founders of Zentangle Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts in Providence, Rhode Island,  in November. They are holding an event ZenAgain which is for Certified Zentangle Teachers to get together and learn new techniqes for their classes. I’m really looking forward to sharing with you all what I learn. So I’ve scheduled two Advanced Classes in November. For the dates go to the Workshops page.

I will be leaving at the end of October this year and will keep you posted on my trip.

Happy Tangling
